The Poetic Line shows works by the Nsukka group that emerged around 1979 in Nigeria. The Nsukka artists are a group of artists active in the international contemporary art scene. Their artistic approach is marked by linking the traditional past with the present. They adopted European media and combined these tools and techniques with the traditional form of uli (traditional Igbo designs and styles) which is often described as linear and two-dimensional. Drawings and prints by artists like El Anatsui, Obiora Udechukwu and Olu Oguibe among others.
