The Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts (MTSIFA), Makerere University, has officially announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Sewanyana as the new Acting Head of the Department of Industrial Arts and Applied Design (DIAAD).
The school extended its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Sewanyana, recognizing his leadership and academic contributions that have shaped the field of industrial arts and design. His appointment marks a new chapter for the department, which continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing creativity, innovation, and applied design in Uganda and beyond.
In the same announcement, MTSIFA expressed deep appreciation to the outgoing Head, Dr. Dorah Kasozi, for her dedicated service and impactful leadership.
