Biography

Dr. Lynda Mutesi Alinaitwe is a Ugandan architect and academic serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University. Her teaching and research emphasize the integration of sustainable design, housing, and cultural identity into architectural education, preparing students to address the challenges of rapid urbanization and climate change.

She holds advanced qualifications in architecture and urban planning, with professional experience in both academic instruction and applied practice. Her work bridges theory and practice, focusing on the role of architecture in shaping inclusive, resilient, and culturally grounded communities.

Her research interests include sustainable architecture, housing and settlement planning, climate-responsive design, and participatory urban development, reflecting her commitment to advancing architectural education and practice in Uganda.
