Research Interests:
Nyakwebara Charles is a member of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University. His academic role contributes to the department’s mission of advancing knowledge and practice in urban and regional planning, preparing graduates to address Uganda’s pressing challenges of urbanization, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth.
Through teaching and mentorship, Nyakwebara supports student learning in planning theory and practice, while also engaging in departmental initiatives that strengthen Makerere University’s leadership in engineering, design, and applied sciences. His professional interests align with the department’s focus on sustainable urban development, participatory planning, and regional integration, reflecting the need for innovative approaches to urban growth in Uganda and beyond.
