Biography

Dr. Nsiima Kategeya Juliet is a Ugandan designer, consultant, and lecturer at the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University, where she teaches in the Department of Visual Communication Design and Multimedia. She holds a Ph.D. in Design Theory from Wuhan University of Technology, alongside degrees in Fine and Industrial Art and Chinese Language and Literature. With over 20 years of experience in the graphic design industry and 8 years in animation, she brings extensive professional expertise into her teaching and research. Her work emphasizes art direction, print design, 3D design, and multimedia innovation, with a strong interest in bridging traditional art practices and contemporary digital technologies. As a consultant with Bauhouse DesignersUG, she has led projects that integrate design thinking into practical solutions. Dr. Nsiima is committed to advancing design education and nurturing creative talent in Uganda.
