Research Interests: Geomatics and Land Surveying, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Data Analysis, Land Administration and Management, and Applied Geospatial Technologies.
Ms. Hilda Nyamwiza is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Geomatics and Land Management at Makerere University, Kampala. She has over seven years of experience in teaching and research, having previously served as a Research Assistant in the same department. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying and Geomatics from Makerere University, where she graduated with Second Class Upper Honours. She later pursued a Master of Geo‑Information Science and Technology, specializing in GIS and land surveying.
Ms. Nyamwiza’s professional experience includes work as a Land Surveyor with RE/MAX Uganda, where she applied geospatial technologies to practical land management challenges. Her teaching and research interests focus on geomatics, GIS applications, land surveying, and geospatial data analysis, contributing to both academic advancement and practical solutions in Uganda’s land sector. She is committed to mentoring students and advancing geospatial innovation for sustainable development.
