Biography

Brian Ashabahebwa is a faculty member in the Department of Construction Economics and Management at Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT). His teaching and research focus on advancing knowledge in construction management, sustainable building practices, and the economics of infrastructure development. Ashabahebwa is committed to bridging theory and practice, equipping students with analytical and managerial skills essential for the construction industry. His research interests include cost optimization, project planning, and the integration of innovative technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability in construction. He has engaged in collaborative initiatives that connect academia with industry, ensuring that research outputs address real‑world challenges in Uganda’s built environment. Passionate about mentorship, Ashabahebwa fosters inclusive participation in engineering and construction education. His contributions strengthen CEDAT’s mission to drive innovation, design, and technology for national and regional transformation.
