College of Engineering, Design, Art & Technology (CEDAT) is well known as the home of innovations. Students and staff continue to contribute to the body of knowledge through their work and in this way contribute towards the realization of the University’s vision of becoming research led University.
Research in the college is undertaken in 3 Schools, 9 departments as well as in 6 research centers, one institute, a number labs, and programs that convene experts across different disciplines to explore new innovations and solve societal problems at local and international level
Staff and students at Makerere University, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) are often involved in inter-disciplinary research in the areas of sanitation technology including treatment systems, societal aspects including gender issues, social marketing, as well as financial and economic aspects of sustainable sanitation.
