Research Interests: Geoid Modelling, GNSS, Fit-For-Purpose Land Administration & Women’s rights to land
Dr. Ronald Ssengendo, PhD is a Lecturer in the Department of Geomatics and Land Management, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University. He holds a PhD in Geodesy and Geoinformatics from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, MSc in Engineering Surveying and Geodesy (Distinction) from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a BSc in Surveying (First Class Honours) from Makerere University. His research interests include geoid modelling, GNSS applications, fit‑for‑purpose land administration, and women’s rights to land. Dr. Ssengendo teaches courses in land tenure, governance, cartography, land disputes, and policy, while supervising MSc and PhD students on topics ranging from spatial planning and property markets to land tenure security. He has published widely in geomatics and land administration journals and serves on editorial boards, conference committees, and professional councils, contributing to both academic scholarship and community engagement in Uganda and Eastern Africa.
