His practical experience is related to stand-alone solar system design, installation, and maintenance (e.g. for two health centers in Fort Portal), power generation from medical waste, low cost lighting systems, among others.
Relatedly, he was a visiting scholar at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, during the 2015-2016 University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars Program (UMAPS) where he worked for six months under mentorship of Prof. Roy Clarke and made a presentation on the design, development, and deployment of energy systems based on renewable energies; which is his major research field. He has also attended several international conferences such as the launch of the University of Michigan’s STEM-Africa Initiative 2010, Tropentag 2016 and 2017, STEM-V Conference on Appropriate Technology in Africa 2019 at Universsity of Michigan, and has since gained a lot of international exposure.
