Course Description
Emphasis of problem of spatial description in 2D and 3D form through the study of the human form as an emphasis. This course provides a comprehensive introduction of the Art of drawing and the language common to all visual activities, tools techniques and principles. The course work follows a sequence of studio work that introduces basic drawing techniques, media and composition through observation and analysis of natural and man-made forms. Through free hand drawing exercise and a study in line, plane value, shape/from, colour and texture are examined along with the principles which clarify these elements in a clear visual organization, discussion, analysis and critique of the principles of 2D and 3D drawing compositions of a given services.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the students shall be able to:
- Draw the human figure as an emphasis on drawing.
- Know the basic drawing techniques, media and composition rendering.
- Have strengthened their visual strength in observational and analytical approach of the natural and manmade form.
