Course Description

In this course students are required to select a topic or theme for drawing, write a studio proposal and through discussion with their supervisors/advisors develop a body of work through a designing process. The studio work should demonstrate understanding of materials, principles and elements of drawing, and message conveyance. The studio work produced, must be theoretically informed and must significantly demonstrate visual technical competence of research.

 

Course Objectives

  • To enable learner produce work which is theoretically informed
  • To enable students learn how to use drawing effectively as a means of communication at advanced level
  • To enable students produce a focused body of work, drawing its philosophy from critical analysis of selected themes
