The College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology ICT services are offered through Directorate for ICT Support (DICTS), offers staff and students essential digital services including email accounts, internet and Wi-Fi access, e-learning platforms, software support, IT security, and web publishing. These services ensure reliable communication, enhance teaching and learning, and strengthen the university’s online visibility and academic excellence.
Accessing ICT Services:
Email Accounts: Staff and students can request institutional email addresses through DICTS.
Internet & Wi-Fi: Connectivity is available across campus; login credentials are provided upon registration.
E-Learning Platforms: Students access course materials and online classes via the Makerere e-learning portal.
Software Support: Licensed software and installation assistance are available through DICTS.
Help Desk: Staff and students can contact DICTS for troubleshooting and ICT support.
The College has 10 designated computer labs including.
Main-computer (3034) Lab with a total of 65 machines (20 standalone and 40 N-computing); The 20 stand-alone machines obtained from ADB Hest Project, installed Oct/2019 and all still in good condition. The Lab also host 40 Ncomputing gadgets, installed. E-lab old building located in room 240 with 55 Desktops computer, in good working condition. Main-lab Old building designated at room 245 with 50 Desktops. MTSIFA Computer Lab: Mtsifa Computer lab currently has 20 desktop computers including 3 IMAC state of art PCs . GIS Comp Lab: State of art Computer Lab for with 38 power workstations all in good condition. Architecture Lab: It’s on level one of the new building, administered by Mr. Kapasa with 15 stand-alone Computer and 10 APC-750 UPS, in good working conditions.

The College has qualified staff that manages ICT services and these are: IT officer- LAN Systems Administrator and IT Officer – Web Administrator
