A number of academic staff registered for PhD and some have graduated and returned to work. The number of PhD holders have increased to over 63 out of 146 (43%). A number of staff have been promoted and others confirmed in the University service. Two (3) of the 11 heads of department are women and that has improved the gender terrain in college management. Seven members of staff have won the Golden Jubilee Awards from H.E. the President of Uganda. Several staff members have published in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings
