The African Planners Institute is Africa’s built environment professional body that works with governments, businesses, multilateral institutions and civil society to develop practical solutions that improve urban development, design, management, and planning in Africa.

This Institute works closely with the different professional bodies within the built environment and serves as a voice of the African built environment community. The institute addresses the use of land, resources, facilities, and services in ways that secure the physical, economic and social efficiency, health/net-zero carbon emissions, and well-being of communities living in urban or rural areas. We are at the center of ensuring that all built environment activities are well coordinated in Africa.
