Urban leaders, Technocrats and Private sector representatives of Gulu City trained on Physical Planning
On 27th to 29th September, 2023, GGGI and Makerere University, Department of Architecture and Physical Planning held a workshop in Gulu City under Greening Uganda’s Urbanization and Industrialization Project with training and dialogue support on physical planning and urban management and governance for leaders, technocrats and private sector /CSO representatives in Gulu City
The workshop Participants were made to understand the importance and key principles of physical planning, land use management and how spatial planning tools should be used in management of Gulu city.
During the training programme on Physical Planning for Urban Leaders, Technocrats and Private sector /CSO representatives of Gulu city, a number of issues were discussed including Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation and Best practices of waste management and what needs to be done to improve the situation in Gulu City.
