Makerere University is benefiting from African Development Bank – Higher Education Science and Technology (AfDB-HEST) merit based scholarships for students in the Science and Technology disciplines. This scholarship fund is targeting bright graduate students pursuing Masters in any of the fields in Science and Technology, who have completed the coursework but are not able to access financial support for research. The Scholarship covers research up to a maximum of UGX. 10 Million, per student.
CEDAT has been requested to nominate Two (2) students for this competitive fund.
The selection of the beneficiaries at CEDAT will be based on the following criteria:
- Academic qualifications, minimum Second Class- Upper
- Very good academic performance in the first Year of graduate study
- A well-written proposal, that has been duly passed at Departmental and School Level
- A justifiable budget
- Serving as a member of staff will be an added advantage. Female students are encouraged to apply.
Interested and eligible applicants must apply and submit their application (endorsed by the Head of Department), with all essential documents to the office of the Deputy Principal CEDAT latest Monday 30th November 2015.
