Mr. Hansen is also a photographer whose interest is in capturing the state of life around him. Derrick Ssemwogerere on the other hand is a photographer that completed his diploma in Fine Art from Nagenda International Academy of Art and Design. Though relatively new in the field of photography, Derrick’s works were shown in an exhibition in Ireland in 2018.

The theme of the exhibition was “Life in Uganda and Denmark under the camera lens”. It was basically- a comparison of the life in Uganda and Denmark with a focus on people living in slums. The exhibition provoked a discussion about what the definition of a slum should be.

The exhibition, which opened on 13th February was attended by MTSIFA students, staff and visitors from Denmark. It closed on 18th February 2020.
