Makerere University to host the 6th National Conference on Communications (NCC2020)

The College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University and the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) are organizing the 6th National Conference on Communications (NCC) 2020. The conference will be held on March 3rd – 4th, 2021 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Kampala. It will host keynote speakers, technical panels and technical paper sessions on topical issues in Uganda’s communications sector. The two-day conference will be part-physical and part-virtual. CEDAT also hosted NCC2019, held at CTF-2 in October 2019.

NCC is the flagship conference in Uganda’s communications sector and attracts audiences of over 300 people. This year’s conference, themed “Connectivity, Resilience and Innovation in the COVID-19 Era”, seeks to highlight the advances in theory and application of communication engineering in Uganda, especially in light of recent challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It will highlight different innovations in response to the pandemic as well as the innovators behind them. Find more details at
