Team MAK-CEDAT heads off to India to participate in UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon

Team Makerere University, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology, School of Engineering heads off to India today 18th November 2022 to participate in UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon. Team mentors are Dr Andrew Katumba (ECE) and Mr Richard Zulu (Industry/Outbox)

The UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon is from 22 – 25 November 2022 and hosted at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Themes for the hackathon are 1) Education 2) Energy 3) Drinking Water & Sanitation 4) Agriculture and 5) Health. Makerere is represented by 18 students from the School of Engineering with good programming skills and knowledge of 4IR technologies including Artificial intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Science, and Blockchain.
