Total E&P Uganda’s education program is giving an opportunity to two Ugandan university students to attend Total Summer School in Paris, France.

Total Summer School brings together around 120 students from all over the world to take part in a week-long opportunity to analyze and discuss major energy issues and challenges, alongside key managers and experts from business, science and research.

The topics will be addressed in English through plenary presentations, round table discussions and workshops.

For the students this will be an opportunity to:

  • Get an overview of the strategic and management challenges facing leading international companies.
  • Contribute actively through exchanges and dialogue to key challenges of the Energy world.
  • Get an insight into the working world and interaction with energy industry experts.
  • Learn about Total’s professions and career path.

Topics of the session

Economics & Geopolitics: Is the global tension between energy supply and demand here to stay?

Future of energy: What are the main causes of uncertainty and tension and how can they be alleviated?

The Environment: What strategies can be deployed to combat global warming?

 

Corporate Social Responsibility of companies: How can our ethical and managerial values be made compatible with the wide diversity of countries people and situations?

 

Total Summer School Duration

The session will be held from 30th June to 5th July 2013 in Paris.

 

This opportunity is open to:

Students pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree and are about to start their final year of University studies in September 2013.
