Atukunda Michael is a Ugandan engineer and academic specializing in surveying, geomatics, and land management. He serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Geomatics and Land Management at the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University. His teaching and research focus on geospatial technologies, land surveying, and sustainable land use planning, equipping students with practical skills for Uganda’s growing infrastructure and development needs.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Surveying from Makerere University and has pursued advanced training in geomatics and geospatial data analysis. His professional work bridges academia and practice, contributing to projects in land administration, mapping, and spatial data management.
Atukunda’s research interests include geospatial information systems (GIS), remote sensing, land tenure systems, and sustainable urban development, reflecting his commitment to advancing Uganda’s capacity in land management and geospatial innovation.
