Biography

Eng. David Kaddu is a Ugandan mechanical engineer and academic specializing in manufacturing engineering, materials science, and industrial design. He serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University and has pursued advanced training in manufacturing systems and materials engineering. His teaching and research focus on production engineering, machine design, and sustainable manufacturing technologies, with a strong emphasis on developing practical solutions for Uganda’s industrial sector.

Beyond academia, Eng. Kaddu has contributed to consultancy and applied engineering projects, supporting industries in areas such as materials testing, product development, and industrial process optimization. His professional interests reflect a commitment to advancing mechanical engineering education, industrial innovation, and sustainable manufacturing practices that strengthen Uganda’s engineering capacity.
