Dr. Abubaker Matovu Waswa is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Electrical Engineering. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and currently serves as Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT). His research focuses on advanced communication systems, including mobile and cellular networks, 5G architectures, device-to-device communication, and intelligent transportation systems. Dr. Waswa has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for network optimization and applied engineering challenges. He has collaborated with international institutions and industry partners, reflecting his commitment to bridging academic research with practical applications. As an educator, he is dedicated to mentoring students, fostering innovation, and advancing Makerere University’s mission of excellence in engineering education and research. His work continues to shape the future of communication technologies in Uganda and beyond.
