Biography

Dr. Dativa Tizikara is a Ugandan electrical engineer and academic specializing in wireless communications and machine learning applications in next-generation networks. She earned her PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Manchester, where her research focused on deep reinforcement learning and optimization algorithms for autonomous resource allocation in cell-free massive MIMO systems. She also holds an MSc in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University. Dr. Tizikara has extensive industry experience, having worked with MTN Uganda and ZTE Corporation in radio planning and network optimization before joining Makerere University as an Assistant Lecturer. Her academic contributions include curriculum development, supervision of graduate research, and organizing Uganda’s first National Conference on Communications. Her work bridges theory and practice, advancing equitable access to next-generation wireless technologies.
