Research Interests:
Dr. Dianah Rose Abeho is a Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Geomatics and Land Management at Makerere University, Kampala. She holds a PhD in Geomatics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where her doctoral research explored spatial data applications for land management and informal settlement upgrading. She also earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Astronomy, Space and Earth Sciences, equipping her with a strong foundation in geospatial sciences.
Her research interests include geomatics, land administration, geospatial data evaluation, and sustainable urban development. Dr. Abeho has published in international journals, notably on informal settlement upgrading in Uganda and Brazil, and on geoid model evaluation in Uganda. She is an active member of the Surveyors Registration Board and the Institution of Surveyors of Uganda, and contributes to regional networks such as the Eastern Africa Land Administration Network (EALAN). Her work emphasizes geospatial innovation for sustainable development.
