Dr. Robinah N. Kulabako is a Ugandan engineer, academic, and researcher who serves as Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT). She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and has dedicated her career to advancing knowledge in water supply, sanitation, and wastewater management. Her leadership at Makerere has been instrumental in shaping engineering education, mentoring young scientists, and promoting innovative solutions to Uganda’s pressing environmental challenges.
Beyond teaching, Dr. Kulabako is an accomplished researcher with numerous publications on urban sanitation, groundwater pollution, and sustainable water management. Her work has earned her national and international recognition, including a medal awarded on International Women’s Day in 2018 for her contributions to science and engineering. With over two decades of experience, she continues to influence policy, drive impactful research, and champion women’s participation in STEM across Africa.
