Biography

Dr. Ronald Ekyalimpa is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Construction Economics and Management at Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT). He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada, where his doctoral research focused on computer simulation of complex stochastic and dynamic large-scale systems. He also earned MSc and BSc degrees in Civil Engineering from Makerere University, specializing in hydraulics and hydrology. Dr. Ekyalimpa’s academic expertise spans construction economics, project management, and infrastructure sustainability, with a strong emphasis on integrating advanced simulation techniques into practical engineering applications. He teaches courses in engineering mathematics and construction management, while mentoring graduate students and contributing to applied research projects. His work bridges theoretical modeling with real world challenges in infrastructure planning and delivery, positioning him as a key contributor to Uganda’s development agenda and international collaborations in civil engineering.
