Research Interests: Construction Project Management, Fire Safety in Informal Settlements, Industrial Design & Innovation, and Public–Private Partnerships (PPPs).
Dr. Kenneth Ssemwogerere is a Ugandan architect and academic specializing in construction management, industrial design, and public–private partnerships (PPPs). He serves as a Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), Makerere University. He also coordinates the Public–Private Partnership Executive Short Course at CEDAT, bridging academic research with professional practice in infrastructure development.
He holds a PhD in Construction Engineering from Rostov State University of Construction, Russia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Makerere University. He is also a Certified PPP Specialist from the IP3 Centre in Washington, D.C.
His research interests include construction project management, fire safety in informal settlements, cost estimation and contingency planning, industrial design, and PPP frameworks for infrastructure delivery. Through his teaching, research, and consultancy, Dr. Ssemwogerere contributes to advancing sustainable construction practices and innovative approaches to infrastructure development in Uganda.
