Biography

Dr. Tonny K. Ssettumba is a dedicated scholar and researcher in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT). He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, where his doctoral research focused on interference mitigation techniques for cell-free massive MIMO networks. He also earned a Master of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University. Dr. Ssettumba’s research interests span wireless communications, antenna design, digital signal and image processing, and physical layer security for IoT systems. He has published in reputable journals and conferences, contributing to advancements in next-generation communication technologies. At CEDAT, he is actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, and collaborative research, fostering innovation and excellence among students and colleagues alike.
