Joseph Ndemere Arineitwe is a Ugandan engineer, researcher, and social entrepreneur specializing in renewable energy and sustainable development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Since 2007, he has served as an Assistant Lecturer at Makerere University’s Faculty of Technology, contributing to the training of future engineers. Beyond academia, he founded Hope Shine Uganda in 2012, a Christian organization supporting vulnerable women and children in urban slums through vocational training and empowerment programs. His work integrates technical expertise with social impact, positioning him as a leading advocate for sustainable energy and community-driven development in Uganda.
