 Other Academic Activities

2013 Presented details of modules in the National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NDEE) at a stakeholders’ consultative workshop on curriculum materials for the national diploma programmes in engineering offered by Uganda technical colleges. The workshop was organized by the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) and held at NCDC conference hall between Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th July, 2013. The consultative workshop was aimed at getting feedback from stakeholders, regarding the material/content of a student-centered and competence-based curriculum for NDEE.
2013 Participated in the review of a student-centered and competence-based curriculum for NDEE of Uganda Technical Colleges. My participation followed an invitation by the NCDC and I offered my expert advice on the content of fundamental modules like: Electrical Engineering Science, Electrical Installation Technology, Electrical Power, Electrical Engineering Drawing, Fundamentals of Communication Systems, Electronics, Measurement, Instrumentation and Control, and; electrical real life projects for every semester.

2012

The aim of the curriculum was to produce a force of “graduates” which is up to-date with the current labour market and relevant to the industry and world of works. The emphasis, therefore; was on practical teaching, projects and acquisition of skills by the student – in line with the BTVET strategic plan “Skilling Uganda
