Project brief

”The TUM SEED Center aims at offering higher education at the intersection of sustainable energies and entrepreneurship and conducting research to contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development tackling the UN Sustainable Development Goal 7. The Core team is based at Technical University of Munich led by Prof. Dr. Frank-Martin Belz. Makerere University is one of the 8 partner universities. The other universities include; Bahir Dar Institute of Technology – Bahir Dar University (Ethiopia), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Kenya), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India) Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia) and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Peru).

Eng. Dr. Dorothy Okello represents Makerere University on the Steering committee which is constituted by eight senior professors from the partner universities to oversee the progress of the project and to enhance the network activities. She replaced Prof. Mackay A. E. Okure. She is assisted by the Project Officer/Manager Dr. Betty Nabuuma and the Student Project Assistant – Mr. Nekemeya Edward Seremba.”
