Rationale

The construction industry is one of the biggest employers both in the formal and informal sectors. Labour and employment affairs in the industry are regulated like in other industries. The construction professionals therefore ought to know the legal provisions for employment and labour regulation.

Objectives/Aims

  • To enable students understand employment contracts and labour laws in Uganda
  • To impart knowledge on labour associations and trade unions;
  • To create an understanding of labour relations and employment equity
