Assessment methods

The course participants will be assessed through individual exercises and projects. The exercises will be conducted after the first week, and the projects will be conducted during the last two days of the course.
Minimum Qualification

For Introductory short courses, participants need to have attained a minimum of an ‘A’level certificate, while for advanced courses, participants need to have attained a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution Or Diploma with considerable field experience. Prior knowledge of GIS is an added advantage.
Entry requirements

Participants should have attained professional knowledge and practical computer skills.

Target group

The short courses target undergraduate and postgraduate students, private-public-sector professionals, and others with little or no prior experience using GIS and Earth Observation. These may include Civil Engineers, Natural Resources Managers, Surveyors, Business Administrators, Health Officers, Geologists, Engineers, Computer Scientists, Statisticians, Veterinary Officers, Agriculturalists, Geographers, and personnel in military intelligence, among others.

Evening program: Mon -Friday 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Weekend program: Saturday 9am -5pm
