The Department of Architecture & Physical Planning in partnership with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and European Union (EU) is organizing a public dialogue that will be used to launch the process of establishing a fully-fledged Makerere University Regional Centre for Urban Research, Governance and Innovation (MURCURGI).

Issues to be discussed will include but not limited to challenges and opportunities for greening Uganda’s Cities. Members of the panel will discuss emerging issues from the guest speaker’s presentation who will be Mr. Mabala Samuel from Cities Alliance Uganda Office.

Participants will also share expertise, experiences, ideas and best practices in establishing such a regional urban research center that will be affiliated to the Department of Architecture and Physical Planning, CEDAT,
as well as its relevance and sustainability.
