Course Description

This course will help students to consolidate their chosen path in their sculpture investigations. The course is designed to allow for more flexibility in the handling of materials and thematic content. At this stage, students will increasingly interface with stakeholders for their opinions as and when deemed necessary. Students will continue to extend and question the boundaries of studio practice using contexts as foci for expansion and contestation of the established norms.

Course Objectives

  • To enable students establish further contacts with the social political aspects of the vernacular; the everyday and popular culture as may be related to individual research problem.
  • To expose students to modern electronic technology as a possible means of extending their visual vocabulary and sculpture research experience.
  • To bring into focus the relevance and interactive obligations of the project report with the studio products.
