The College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology, Makerere University received funding from NORAD Master Studies Programme (NOMA) to run a graduate programme in Technology Innovation and Industrial Development (M.Sc. TIID) to bridge the gap between the industry and the University. The college therefore invites graduates to apply for the scholarships to pursue the Masters programme. This is the second cohort for student’s scholarships, the first cohort begun in August 2011.
The programme targets graduates coming from industry or having extensive industrial background, fresh graduates are also advised to apply. To qualify for admission for M.Sc. TIID, the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in a Scientific or Technological field,( Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Agricultural, Telecommunication and Computer Engineering,) Computer Science, Food Science and Technology, Construction, Industrial Chemistry, Manufacturing, Mining. All other admission requirements and regulations of Makerere University shall apply.
Prospective applicants are informed that they must have applied for M.Sc. TIID program in accordance with the advertisement of the New Vision of Monday, 20th 2012 for the application of graduate programs of Makerere University whose deadline is 31 March 2012.
The NORAD programme for Master Studies (NOMA) has agreed to sponsor 15 students in the Second cohort of academic year 2012/2013- which is scheduled to begin in August 2012. The rest of the additional students who wish to enrol will be privately sponsored. Female graduates are advised to apply as a number of scholarships are especially targeted to them.
In order to apply for the scholarship, a letter of Motivation attached with the photocopies of your Graduate application documents is addressed to the Principal of CEDAT, Makerere University, indicating scholarship for M.Sc.TIID. The closing date for submission of scholarship applications is 9th April 2012.
