This course is designed to foster the students’ personal vision, style and process. Students develop problem-solving skills as they explore the implications of their own ideas, break down projects into stages, discuss the developing images and adopt print processes for the purpose of executing the final project. By looking at strategies artists have used over time students will appropriate these techniques and ideas into their own work.
The objective of this course is to equip students with problem solving and critical thinking skills in printmaking through developing a practical project. By studying other artist’s strategies, students develop personal vision and style.
